Appleton™ DBR Series Receptacles are ideal for use with stationary or portable electrically operated devices in environments where damp or corrosive conditions exist and locations where ignitable amounts of dust are present. The DBR can be supplied with an interlocked disconnect switch for connect and disconnect operations or an interlocked circuit breaker for short circuit and thermal time delay overload protection. These dust-ignitionproof, pin and sleeve receptacles provide Style 2 grounding, delayed action construction, and have deeply recessed energized contacts to reduce the danger of accidental touching. Brass contacts provide superior electrical contact, and insulators provide superior dielectric, mechanical strength and lowest arc tracking. The neoprene bushing prevents water entry, and the receptacles spring door keeps dust out. The ACP and CPH plugs have mechanical cable clamps to prevent strain on cables. Simple to operate, insert the plug and turn the breaker handle to “ON” position, or turn the handle to the “OFF” position, lift the plug release knob and pull the plug out.
